Mold Behind the Vanity in Crawford, TX
The customers had removed the master bath vanity in this Crawford, TX, water damage before our arrival.
There was a modest amount of mold on the wall behind the vanity.
After carefully wiping the surface mold, the wall was removed. Removing the wall allowed inspection to be sure there was no mold on materials in the wall cavity behind the wall.
That allows a chance to clean up any mold in the wall cavity and peace of mind to know what was behind the wall.
Mold also works on folks' imagination...some times well founded.
In this instance, it wasn't necessary to close the wall up again as the removed are was all behind the vanity and wouldn't show at all. Drywall behind cabinets isn't really necessary, but is almost always there to save the labor and time of cutting it off during construction.
