Water hidden under moisture barrier style carpet padding
Two things happening in these pictures. Not shown is the water barrier padding which was under this bedroom carpet. This hid the fact the padding and floor were wet under the carpet because the water came into the room under the water barrier and trapped the water under the carpet. The barrier is sold as making sure if you spill something on the top of the carpet it won't get through to the padding. However, if the water comes under the padding it is trapped under the flooring.
The other thing to notice in the pictures is that the water ran under the wall from the room on the other side of the wall.
SERVPRO of Waco was able to determine this water was trapped under the flooring in this room, though no moisture could be detected by any touching of the carpet.
