The Utility Room was Freezing.

Another freeze victim.  The water pipe in the utility room was the culprit.  Water soaked this room pretty well and went into other areas, as well.

In decorating this lake area house over the years, decorative panels were added over the drywall.  Both layers absorbed water.  There was no real choice but to remove some sections of the walls.

An interesting side note on this one.  In opening one of the walls we discovered a small item which had been left on a piece of wood inside the wall.  It had belonged to the customer's mother.  In reality, it was something her mother may well have thrown away otherwise.  But finding it in the wall was an emotional comfort for the customer, who was very upset about the water damage.

The family had built the house and we found some writing on walls behind paneling we had to remove as it was installed over drywall.
