A death discovered after sometime time passage?

Sometimes a loved ones pass away while alone and folks don't know it for a while.  This is a very dangerous situation for health concerns if not handled correctly.

BEWARE

While there are, of course, things which need done in the home/building after proper agencies remove the person's remains, there are firms out there which charge outrageous amounts for this. 

Seems these firms take advantage of the emotions and confusions of the situation.

A real problem arises with insurance coverage.  There are usually limits on this type coverage in insurance policies.  When the bill exceeds the coverage it is left to the family/estate to cover the unpaid amounts.  This can be tens of thousands of dollars and may not be truly necessary work.
